Slovakia has alot to offer for tourists, with skiing being one of the most popular attractions for tourists.
Slovakia is known to be home to Europe’s hidden gem ski destinations. Within the Tatras Mountains, which are largely part of the Carpathian region that runs through Central and Eastern Europe, there are 27 beautiful ski resorts with some of the most popular being Jasna and Štrbské Pleso.
The benefits of Slovakia being Europe’s hidden gem are so amazing. 10. Kubínska hoľa
Located just 12 minutes from Dolný Kubín with a total slope length of 14 km and an elevation difference of 676 m (Base 720 m – Mountain 1396 m) Kubínska hoľa has something for everyone, but is mostly skied by intermediate skiers, as 72% (10 km) of the ski resorts slopes are designed for intermediate skiers.
But don’t worry even if you are a beginner there is still something for you to do in Kubínska hoľa. The ski resort still has 2 km of beautiful beginner trails, a beginner trail I can recommend is the blue trail number 3, the trail goes through a beautiful nature all the way from the top of the mountain down to around the middle of the mountain. But Kubínska hoľa not only offers beautiful ski slopes, Kubínska hoľa also has 10 restaurants so you can enjoy a good meal with a good view.
9. Skiing Roháče – Spálená
Roháče – Spálená is much more beginner friendly than Kubínska hoľa and is 1 hour away from the apartment with a total slope length of 5.7 km and an altitude difference of 468 m (Base 1030 m – Mountain 1498 m) Roháče – Spálená has something for everyone, so no matter what level of skier you are, you will have fun in Roháče – Spálená.
The slope of the ski resort is pretty much wasted between beginner and intermediate. The ski resort has about 2.9 km of beginner slopes and 2.5 km of intermediate slopes, which should be enough to keep everyone happy for a good day of skiing. The ski resort also has other things to offer such as their 11.3 km cross country skiing and their 3 resturants.

8. Meander Skipark
Meander Ski Park is another good ski resort between intermediate skiers, the ski park is just over 1 hour away from the apartment. The ski resort has 7.5 km of slopes, where 73% (5.5 km) of the slopes are designed for intermediate skiers, Meander Skipark has a height difference of 270 m (Base 785 – 1055 m) Meander Skipark has something for everyone, but is mostly skied on by intermediate skiers.
The slopes of the ski resort is designed more for intermediate skiers, but there is also something for beginners. The ski resort has approx. 2 km beginner slopes with a beginner slope that goes all the way from the top to the bottom of the ski park, which is also the longest slope in the ski resort. The ski resort also has other things to offer, such as their 35 km cross-country skiing and their 3 resturants.

7. Vrátna
Vrátna is good ski resort for intermediate and expert skiers, the ski park is 45 minutes away from the apartment. The ski resort has 15 km of slopes, where 60% (9 km) of the slopes are designed for intermediate skiers, Vrátna has a height difference of 931 m (Base 601 – 1532 m) Vrátna is mostly designed for expert & intermediate skiers.
The slopes of the ski resort is designed more for intermediate skiers, but a lot of it is also for expert. The ski resort has 4 km of expert slopes with the longest slope in the ski park being 750 m and a expert slope. The ski resort also has other things to offer, such as their 21 km cross-country skiing and 14 resturants.

6. Veľká Rača
Veľká Rača is another good ski resort between intermediate skiers, the ski park is just over 1 hour & 20 minutes away from the apartment. The ski resort has 12 km of slopes, where 50% (6 km) of the slopes are designed for intermediate skiers, Veľká Rača has a height difference of 389 m (Base 652 – 1041 m) Veľká Rača has something for everyone.
The slopes of the ski resort is pretty much wasted between beginner and intermediate. The ski resort has about 5 km of beginner slopes and 6 km of intermediate slopes, which should be enough to keep everyone happy for a good day of skiing. The ski resort also has other things to offer such as their 9 km cross country skiing and 6 resturants.

5. Malino Brdo
Malino Brdo is fantastic ski resort for intermediate skiers aswell as beginners, the ski park is located in the same resort as the apartment. The ski resort has 12 km of slopes, where 62% (7.5 km) of the slopes are designed for intermediate skiers, Malino Brdo has a height difference of 664 m (Base 545 – 1209 m) Malino Brdo has something for everyone, even if you want to toboggan or ski / snowboard in a fun park.
The slopes of the ski resort is designed more for everyone. The ski resort has 3 km beginner slopes and 1.5 km of expert slopes. The ski resort also has other things to offer, such as their long toboggan trail and 5 resturants.

4. Štrbské Pleso
Štrbské Pleso is a fantastic ski resort with a lot of good food and good ski slopes for everyone. The ski park is located around 54 minutes away from the apartment. The ski resort has 8.3 km of slopes, where 67% (5.6 km) of the slopes are designed for intermediate skiers, Štrbské Pleso has a height difference of 464 m (Base 1376 – 1840 m) Štrbské Pleso has something for everyone, but is mostly skied on by intermediate skiers.
The slopes of the ski resort is designed more for intermediate skiers, but there is also something for beginners. The ski resort has 2.7 km of beginner slopes. The ski resort also has other things to offer, such as their 19.8 km cross-country skiing and a lot of resturants and shopping areas.

3. Donovaly
Donovaly is good ski resort with many things to do not only for skiers but for everyone, the ski park is located just around 30 minutes away from the apartment. The ski resort has 11 km of slopes, where 54% (5.9 km) of the slopes are designed for intermediate skiers, Donovaly has a height difference of 447 m (Base 914 – 1361 m) Donovaly has something for everyone, even if you are not skiing.
The slopes of the ski resort is designed more for every type of skier. The ski resort has 5 km of beginner slopes. The ski resort also has other things to offer, such as their many eating opportunities and non skiing activities.

2. Tatranská Lomnica
Tatranská Lomnica is another good ski resort for every type of skier, the ski park is located just over 1 hour away from the apartment. The ski resort has 11.8 km of slopes, where 44% (5.2 km) of the slopes are designed for intermediate skiers, Tatranská Lomnica has a height difference of 1302 m (Base 888 – 2109 m) Tatranská Lomnica has something for everyone.
The slopes of the ski resort is designed more for every type of skier. The ski resort has 5.4 km of beginner slopes. The ski resort also has other things to offer, such as their 2.7 km cross-country skiing and 7 resturants.

1. Jasná
Jasná is the biggest ski resort in slovakia with more than 44 km of ski slopes. Jasná has a lot for everyone with 43% (19.2 km) of the slopes being for beginners and 40% (17.9 km) of the slopes was made for intermediate skiers. Jasná has a height difference of 1061 m (Base 943 – 2004 m) Jasná has something for everyone.
The slopes of the ski resort is designed more for everyone. Jasná does also have some expert slopes which takes out 17% (7.4km) of Jasná’s ski slopes. The ski resort also has other things to offer, such as off pist skiing and many resturants.
